Project for Children

in Senegal

This project is still in a very early stage of development.

It is needed to build up a team of people and find financial support from interested sponsors, foundations, companies and other organizations.

It is important to understand this is a"lifetime project".

PROJECT - DESCRIPTION

The Lampfall Foundation represents an artists' community that dedicates its artistic and cultural activities to a humane deed in Africa.

Considering the misery on this continent, a plan has been made to establish a village for orphaned children.

This village is for orphaned and/or unfortunate war children, offering a place for recovery of mental and physical health thus giving children hope for the future.

Due to the circumstances in Africa, future generations will need help which can contribute and participate in a humane way to the growth of the community.

We would like to give attention to the children's development in the following ways.:

EDUCATION: This part includes learning to read and write with instruction in different languages, acquiring social skills and behaviour formation.

AGRICULTURE: This part includes learning to grow agricultural and horticultural plants; learning to breed cows, goats, sheep and poultry, and learning to market these produced goods raised in the village

SKILLED LABOUR: This includes learning a skill such as weaving, batik, carpentry, sculpting, painting, pottery and building music instruments.

PERFORMANCE ART: This part includes cultivation of music, dance, singing and theatre.

MENTAL & PHYSICAL HEALTH: This includes space for various sports in order to improve the mental and physical condition of these Children, such as athletics, soccer, fitness, acrobatics, swimming, martial arts and table-tennis, as well as space for mental recreation through Yoga and Meditation exercises.
